After the potentially path breaking over clocking of the HTC Thunderbolt to 1.8GHz, another major barrier has been breached with the same person over clocking the device to 2GHz, 2.01 to be exact.

The user had a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8655 CPU stock, and reported that the device was stable when over clocked. What that does to the hardware and battery life is anybody’s guess.
Nevertheless, it is seen as the start of something big, and we sure are going to wait for a public release of the kernel.
